1.2 “You/Your” means the user of this website.
1.3 “Website” means the website located at centenarylounge.com
1.4 “Product” means the item displayed for sale on the website.
1.5 “Conditions” means these terms and conditions.
2.2 We reserve the right to make changes to this website and to its contents including product prices and specification at our discretion.
2.3 Every care has been taken to ensure accuracy of description and specification. However, some products are decorated using hand applied techniques and are therefore subject to variations owing to the unique nature of the product.
2.4 Special offers and discounts advertised on the website relate to website online transactions only and may not be available in other retail stores. Likewise, special offers and discounts available in any other retail store may not apply to website prices unless specified.
2.5 We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions at any time. Therefore, it is your liability to check and determine whether the Conditions have been changed.
Order and Payment
3.1 The information displayed is considered as an invitation and not an offer to sell those products to you.
3.2 All orders placed on this website will be subject to acceptance of these conditions.
3.3 An offer is made when you place an order for your products by pressing the confirm button at the end of the checkout process.
3.4 Payment from your card is taken, when we process your order and obtain authorisation for your card details. Products are subject to availability. In the event we are unable to supply the products ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible. A full refund will be provided if you have paid for the products.
3.5 All prices displayed on our website are inclusive of VAT. We reserve the right to amend prices if there is a change in the rate of VAT.
3.6 A delivery charge will be charged in addition and will be applied at the checkout stage per total order value.
3.7 We will send to you an order acknowledgement email with the details of the products ordered. This email is not an order confirmation or acceptance from centenarylounge.com
3.8 Unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions in Cancellation and Refunds, acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the products ordered. It does not occur until the despatch of products has taken place, even though we may have debited your card or we have sent an acknowledging email.
3.9 We make every effort to ensure that prices are correctly displayed. However if an error transpires we will correct the price and you will be given the opportunity to purchase the products at the correct price. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled. We will be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product, which was advertised at an incorrect price.
3.10 When ordering hampers or afternoon teas which contain perishable goods, please provide as much notice as possible, ideally 48 hours in advance, but the latest by 12pm on the day before. Provide any additional information or special instructions relating to the order and it’s delivery at this stage correctly. If you have already made the purchase and would like to make a change or advise us of anything which may affect the order or it’s delivery please email us If the order is to be delivered sooner than 48 hours then please call us straight away on 01905 724242.
3.11 If you would like to include a personal message on the postcard provided for the recipient this can be added at the order stage as well.
4.1 The period stated within which you will receive your order is for guidance only. We will not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by you or any third party arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet an estimated delivery date.
4.2 The products will be delivered at the address specified in the order. You will make all reasonable arrangements necessary to receive delivery of order for when is it tendered for delivery. This is especially important for perishable goods such as the afternoon teas and hampers. For perishable goods someone has to be available to receive the delivery. Any losses arising as a result of perishable goods not being able to be delivered due to no one available to take delivery will not be refunded or replaced.
4.3 For perishable goods such as afternoon teas and hampers, the delivery date cannot be altered once confirmed, so please check all details carefully.
4.4 For afternoon teas and hampers, overnight delivery service is used so the perishable goods arrive in optimum condition.
4.5 A signature may be required to acknowledge delivery. The signature of the person accepting delivery at the delivery address will be proof that delivery has been received by you or the person, to whom the order is addressed. If no one is available to accept delivery you will receive a card to advise that a delivery has been attempted. This should be avoided for perishable goods such as the afternoon teas and hampers.
4.6 Repeat attempts to deliver may incur additional charges.
4.7 Risk of loss and damage of products passes to you on the date when the products are delivered.
4.8 We will endeavour to deliver on the required date, however due to Covid-19 restrictions these times may alter as this is out of our control and we can accept no liability.
Cancellation and Returns
Your right to cancel
5.1 Afternoon teas and Hampers are exempt from all the following statements as they are perishable goods: Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract with us providing you notify us no longer than 7 working days after the day on which you receive the products. You can notify us either by email or telephone our Customer Service on the numbers provided on the website, which will provide you with a returns number and returns address. Please quote the order number when you contact us and on any returned products.
5.2 In the case of cancellation under section 5.1, you must return the products at your own expense. You are responsible for the risk of loss and damage when you return the products, and therefore you should take out adequate postal insurance to cover their value.
5.3 The products must be returned to us unused and in the original packaging. We would ask that you take reasonable care of the products whilst in your possession, as you are responsible for the products during the cancellation period.
5.4 We must receive the products within 21 days in the above said condition. You will then receive a full refund of the price paid for the products within 30 days, excluding the return delivery costs.
5.5 If you do cancel your order but do not return the products, we may arrange to collect them at your cost which will be deducted from the refund.
Returns and Exchange
6.1 The cost of returning the products will only be refunded if the return is due to a faulty or damaged product, or if it is different from the product advertised. We can only accept responsibility for a parcel when it is safely received at our returns address.
6.2 If the product is faulty or damaged, please contact us within 7 days of purchase (Afternoon Teas and Hampers containing perishable goods are exempt from returns and refunds), via email and we will provide you with a replacement (subject to availability) or a full refund.
6.3 Perishable goods cannot be returned or refunded. If you have experienced a less than satisfactory experience due to no fault of your own please email us and we will look into this further.
These Terms and Conditions do not in any way affect your statutory rights.
7.1 Nothing in these Conditions excludes or limits the liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability by us or our employees.
7.2 In the event of any breach of these Conditions by us – notwithstanding the above 7.1 section of centenarylounge.com aggregate liability, you will be limited to loss and damages which shall in no circumstances exceed the price of the products and we shall under no circumstances be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage whatsoever.
7.3 We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations in the events resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, accidents, acts of terrorism, war, fire, breakdown of equipment or shortage or unavailability of materials, default of any of our suppliers, and we shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of its obligations.
8.1 Voucher codes (promo codes) are only valid on full priced items.
