There’s something special brewing at Coventry Station and this time, it’s not just the coffee.
We’re delighted to celebrate the fantastic news that Coventry Railway Station has been named Best Large Station of the Year at the 2026 National Rail Awards, recognising the station for its recent investment, well maintained facilities, retail offering and the helpful team who work there every day.
And, as the home of Centenary Coffee Co. on Platforms 2 and 3, we’re incredibly proud to be part of this award-winning station.
A National Award for Coventry
Managed by Avanti West Coast, Coventry Station received the prestigious award following a period of significant investment and transformation.
The station has changed considerably in recent years. In 2022, an £82 million transformation delivered a new purpose built station building, multi-storey car park and a connecting footbridge serving all four platforms. Further investment has included new skylights and signage, alongside work to preserve and celebrate some of the station’s distinctive heritage features.
That heritage is reflected in our own Coventry café too. The Centenary Coffee Co. fit out was deliberately inspired by the station’s 1960s modernist character, using clean lines, geometric forms, a restrained palette and period inspired details to complement the listed building rather than compete with it. It’s a small nod to Coventry Station’s architectural story, brought to life for today’s passengers.
The result is a modern and welcoming gateway to Coventry, and an important transport hub for the wider region.
